YouTube Premium's New AI 'Jump Ahead' Feature
YouTube has introduced a new AI-powered feature for Premium members called "Jump Ahead," now available through youtube.com/new. This feature allows users to skip to the most viewed parts of a video by tapping a button that appears briefly after double-tapping to skip ahead. Leveraging AI and user watch data, the feature aims to enhance viewing by identifying key points most viewers jump to.
Initially tested with a small group, "Jump Ahead" is currently available in the US on the YouTube Android app for English videos with high view counts. This experimental feature, which runs until June 1, is part of YouTube's ongoing efforts to improve user experience through AI-driven tools.
