OpenAI's Advanced Voice Mode Update
OpenAI's Advanced Voice Mode Update
We're thrilled to provide an update on the advanced Voice Mode we showcased during our Spring Update. Initially planned for a late June alpha rollout to a select group of ChatGPT Plus users, we now need an additional month to perfect the launch. Our focus is on enhancing the model's ability to detect and reject inappropriate content, refining the user experience, and ensuring our infrastructure can support millions of users while delivering real-time responses.
Following our iterative deployment strategy, we'll begin with a small alpha group to gather feedback and refine the feature. Our aim is for all Plus users to access this feature by fall, contingent on meeting our rigorous safety and reliability standards. Additionally, we're progressing on the new video and screen-sharing capabilities we demonstrated separately and will update you on their timeline. ChatGPT's advanced Voice Mode, capable of understanding and responding with emotions and non-verbal cues, marks a significant step toward real-time, natural AI conversations. Our mission remains to thoughtfully introduce these innovations to enhance your experience.
