Forbes Launches Adelaide, a News Search Tool Powered by Artificial Intelligence
Forbes announced the beta launch of Adelaide, a new AI-powered news search tool that uses Google Cloud to provide users with personalized recommendations and insights from Forbes journalism.
Adelaide is built on Google Cloud Vertex AI Search and Conversation, and is capable of generating individualized responses to user queries based on Forbes articles only. It can also learn and adapt to individual reader preferences over time.
Adelaide is currently available to select Forbes.com visitors, but will eventually roll out to all of Forbes' 150 million readers. This is a significant milestone for Forbes as it makes the company one of the first major news publishers to provide personalized and relevant news content recommendations to its global readers using artificial intelligence generative.
Adelaide is an exciting addition to Forbes' existing AI framework, which also includes Bertie, an AI-powered tool that provides recommendations to Forbes journalists regarding their writing style.
Forbes chose Google Cloud as its cloud partner in 2018, and the two companies worked together to help Forbes realize the impact of AI and ML in the publishing industry.
